Enfield Borough Trampolining Festival
Posted on: December 12th 2018On 30th November 2018 the Southgate Trampoline Squad participated in the Enfield Borough Trampolining festival, held at Edmonton Green Leisure Centre. Southgate went to the competition as holders in the senior category from last year and were very keen to bring home more success.
A squad of 12 students participated across 2 different age categories, Junior - Year 7/8 and Intermediate - Year 9/10. Prior to the competition students trained tirelessly, giving up their evenings and lunchtimes to perfect routines of extreme difficulty. Southgate performed exceptionally on the day with a number of standout performances, individually and collectively.
Individual Performances
In the Intermediate category Maja Szymkiewicz finished as borough champion, whilst Yasmin Elemen finished in 3rd position.
In the junior novice category Sophia Mouratis (7Y1) finished in 2nd position.
Team Performances
Juniors (Year 7/8) finished 2nd overall
Intermediates (Year 9/10) finished 1st - Borough Champions
