Christmas Concert

Many thanks to everyone who came to support our end of term Christmas Concert last week.  It was fantastic to see the hall at full capacity with supportive family and friends.

The evening featured a wide variety of performances ranging from school ensembles and soloists to classwork from year 7 and 13.  Students performed with confidence, rising once again to the challenge of performing complex pieces.

A record 135 students took part and it was wonderful to see all year groups represented and contributing whole heartedly to the event.

Students from our year 7 classes performed a traditional African Song and dance, filling the stage with energy whilst year 13 performed their own arrangement of Courtney Pine’s Lady Day (& John Coltrane) which is one of their A Level set works.

We were delighted to welcome back Ms Conway and De Bohun Primary School’s Choir.  The students performed with confidence and enthusiasm and we look forward to further collaboration in the coming year.

A massive THANK YOU to all the students who performed in the concert. Many students commit to rehearsals every week or every term and we would like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication to our music department.

We wish you all a very happy and restful Christmas holiday and see you in the New Year!
