Governor Profiles
Ms Catalina Schveninger |
I have 20 years of experience in human resources and studied communications and management. I am passionate about the science of learning and coach young (and not so young) people to unlock their potential. At work, I have the privilege to develop global programs to get girls to pursue careers in STEM, diversity and tech skills being other areas of my expertise. I speak frequently at international fora about these topics.
I have lived in Enfield for 3 years and have a son and daughter in year 8 at Southgate. |
Ms Ashni Shah |
I work in social consulting; bringing business and investment models to social change. My focus for the past 2 years has been on developing new models of support for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, including children at risk of entering care or already in care, young people leaving social care, and young people not in education or employment. My work means that I work closely with local authorities and central government, including the Dept. for Education. My background is in the corporate sector, having completed by MBA in 2017 and prior to this, working for GlaxoSmithKline for 4 years. I have lived in Enfield since childhood and hope to bring some of my experience, network and skills to Southgate School to enable its students and staff to continue to thrive. |
Mr Krishan Kadodwala |
I am currently responsible for leading a large team in sales, marketing and account management across the UK and Ireland Markets in the online travel industry. I have more the 10 + years in sales marketing, business development and leadership roles in the hospitality industry, I have expertise in helping business in the industry improve online and technology backgrounds and truly believe that travel can be a source of good and peace, allowing people explore different cultures and destinations. Personally, I have experience, having worked in the United Arab Emirates as well and setting up market management team in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh. I graduated doing Chemistry and have also been passionate about education particularly as my final year project was focused on how to bring fun back to Chemistry. Having mentored children through mentorship works and recently becoming a dad, I hope to use my knowledge and skills to assist the school. I am born and raised in Rugby, Warwickshire, however my professional life has seen me call Enfield my home, having lived in Southgate and now in Gordon Hill over the last 2.5 years. |
Ms Mili Malde |
I am a Product Manager at the Department for Education leading multidisciplinary, agile teams to solve problems confronting the education sector, with a particular focus on teacher recruitment and retention. I graduated from Wadham College, Oxford with BA in Classics in 2017. Since then I have worked in primarily digital and technology transformation roles across government and in the third sector. These ranged from being a user researcher on a digital service for diplomats at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, designing features and improvements on one of the largest-scale, ambitious welfare reform programmes at the Department for Work and Pensions, and leading the Architecture and Innovation Strategy at the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. My most recent role was Product Manager at an educational social enterprise, where I developed the enterprise's digital capabilities to enable it to scale its programme of support and laid the foundations for future growth. Outside of work I voluntarily deliver practice Oxbridge interviews to students from disadvantaged backgrounds and volunteer for the enterprising charity, Literacy Pirates, where I support primary school students so that they can develop their reading and literacy skills. I have lived in Enfield for most of my life and I am keen to apply my positive outlook and leadership skills to help Southgate School better support its students to achieve success in the world beyond. |
Mrs Sharon Gaughan |
I have worked for over 30 years in the Banking sector. During my career I have worked in various aspects of Finance particularly Corporate Banking and Compliance. My current rule is working as a Senior Manager of Risk and Compliance for a Foreign Bank. The role requires skills in managing complex projects to ensure compliance with the rules and guidance. This role also requires engagement with various Regulators and Senior Stakeholders of the Bank. For me a recent significant achievement was to set up a Corporate Social Responsibility Programme at my Bank, facilitating colleagues to spend time volunteering in the community and raising funds for various charities. I am involved with a coaching programme at my work for junior members of staff and am interested in the personal development of young people in order to ensure success in their careers. I have lived in Southgate for 20 years. I am very much looking forward to working with the Governors of Southgate School and meeting as many people associated with the School as possible over the coming terms. |
Mrs Kate Sheldon |
I have 20 years of experience in the environment sector, developing programmes, forging new partnerships, and fundraising through grants and public sector contracts. My current role is Deputy Chief Executive at Trees for Cities, a national charity that engages people to improve their local environment through planting and caring for trees. I am passionate about the role that nature can play to support the health and well-being of children and young people. Over the last decade I have developed award-winning school programmes that tackle current health concerns: child obesity, air quality and mental health of children and young people, which has become critical during Covid. I have lived in Enfield for 17 years and have three children in years 9, 11 and 13 at Southgate School. |
Mr Sukhy Duggal |
I am a Public Financial Account and work for an engineering consultancy provided support across a range of clients, mainly in the public sector. I have worked across all levels of government, from local authorities and health bodies, blue light services and also central government departments providing a wide range of consultancy services. Within Enfield, I am also a Cub Scout leader and Group Treasurer, helping to develop our young people. I have lived in Enfield for over 15 years and am proud of what our community has achieved, and the potential for further improvement in the future |
