Mary Poppins Jnr
Posted on: June 12th 2025The Drama and Music Departments started 2025 in style with the Whole School Production of Mary Poppins Jr. Students from Years 7-13 wowed their audience with a simply stunning performance of this well-loved Disney classic. The principle roles impressed with their energetic interpretations of Mary, Bert and the members of The Banks household whilst the ensemble created the magical world of the play with slick and exciting renditions of classic tunes such as; ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’, ‘Jolly Holiday’ and ‘Step in Time’. There were so many wonderful moments: gasps from the audience as Mary produced a full-height hat stand from her very ordinary looking bag. The hilarious cake scene featuring some delightful honey bees and the reaction of The Banks household to the arrival of Ms Andrews the new nanny. As always our amazing students used their very special brand of magic to bring the show to life and we are incredibly proud of their efforts. A huge thank you to the Music Department and all of the staff and students who were involved.
