HARD WORK RECOGNISED AS SOUTHGATE SCHOOL CELEBRATES EXCELLENT GCSE OUTCOMES

Nearly one third of all grades awarded 7-9!
Pupils and staff at Southgate School are celebrating today as they collect their GCSE results, marking the culmination of five years of dedication, growth and hard work. The school community is filled with pride as pupils reflect on how far they have come, embracing opportunities and striving for academic excellence.
These achievements shine a light on each and every pupils’ resilience and determination, and the joy shared across the school is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when ambition is nurtured and supported.
This year's results reflect the commitment shown by pupils throughout their studies, supported by staff, families and the wider school community. They exceed last year’s outcomes on nearly every measure with 80% of pupils passing both Maths and English and 61% attaining strong passes in those subjects. Around one third of all grades were at 7-9 and nearly 70% of all grades were at 9-5.
Pupils achieved progress levels above national levels in nearly all subjects with many subjects achieving an 80% pass rate or better including; Chemistry (100%), Biology (99%) Physics (99%), Art and Computer Science. 81% of pupils passed Maths and 90% of pupils leave with a pass in English.

These next steps reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also the confidence and readiness they have developed throughout their time at Southgate. It is a moment of pride for the entire community as pupils move forward with exciting opportunities ahead and very bright futures.

- Leo Cashman achieved 8 grade 9s and 1 grade 8 & Max Cashman achieved 7 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s
- Adrian Chakarov achieved 7 grade 9s and 1 grade 8
- Reuben Bairstow achieved 6 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s
- Dora Haeri achieved 5 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s
- Naomi Coutts 3 grade 9s, 5 grade 8s and 1 grade 7.
